Ever thought of dicing with danger and mingling with madness while partaking of the perfect pizza? How about a little ookie-nookie with tantalizing tentacles, after some ritual sacrifice and bird watching?
Then let me introduce you to a Chez Cthulhu - The game that makes Armageddon feel so... well, meh really.
Based on its original, slack-off forefather, Chez Geek, Chez Cthulhu pits you against your mates in an apartment where most anything goes and beliefs and morals are more fluid then that thing you found lurking under your bed last night.
The game kicks off with you being dealt a card of your employment. Morgue Janitor, Dog Walker, Lackey, Gravedigger... fine upstanding jobs, especially if you graduated with an Art degree...
You then proceed to live the life of a born slacker, collecting slack points and avoiding all things that could make your life in any way useful or meaningful.
Basically reliving the glory of your teens.
You’'ll watch TV, play games and occasionally sacrifice the odd person or pet to a demonic higher being. Toss in a little swervy nookie with whatever is willing, and you'll find yourself well on the way to a comfortable, unfulfilled life of purposeless slacking.
You even get the chance to drive your character completely mad, because what could please an Elder God better than a full on, mouth frothing, ranting and raving loon? Done right and you could win the game with flair (If not pants), do it wrong and basically you're the nutter on the corner no one cares about.
Which in this game is really a bit of an upgrade.
WARNING: This game is suitable only for players over the physical age of 16 but with a mental age that's willing to sink far below that. It's silly, it's wicked, more than a tad bit crawly, and, in the words of an avid player:
"Yeah it's awesome. Let's get some beer already."
